Yup after 5 years 2 months 2 weeks 4 days he finally proposed!
In a way I have always dreamed of. Well not literally but almost!
*FLASHBACK to when I was younger*
Monologue:
If I have a boyfriend and he decides to marry me, he has to secretly plan with my parents first ask for my hand in marriage and proposed to me once they have given their blessings.
*Back to 2018*
I can't believe I'm typing this but yes. I'm officially tied.
If you have read my previous posts, on how "excited" I was to finally "adult" and have the "real job",
now here I am into the next phase of adulting and sharing my life with another human. (he's a great human btw). Okay, let's just start with "THE PROPOSAL".
As many of my friends and the people I know call me "minah kawin2" which they meant to say (tak fikir pasal benda lain tapi kawin je). He knows that I am the "hopeless romantic" and loves the idea of a guy kneeling down on 1 knee and asked romanticly to that woman he loves, to marry him. But he being "old school adat melayu guy" hated that idea and would never do that. So he wanted to be fair, he sweetly did this instead when he proposed (refer image below). But he is so thoughtful and these are 3 reasons why.
1. He knows how important my family was so he involved my family and even planned the surprise with my parents. (how cute is that kan)
2. He tries his best to make all my dreams come true. (literally)
3. The ring (is almost exactly how I wanted it to look like) something simple, old school, & similar to my mom's ring.
The Surprise falls on my birthday. So my present from him was in a box. When i opened it, it has a pen and the back of a frame. When i turned it around it was this.... of course i wrote YES!
Am I lucky or what? Thankful alhamdulillah.
He is not perfect and neither am I.
But together we build a team that simply perfecting all imperfections. cieee....
And are you even ready to see what my mom got for me for my birthday to wear on my engagement day?
I KNOW! so what i wanted! (JAWA LOOK YAW!) and P.S: That's my late Nyai's selendang i wore as a veil. Matched perfectly!

The preparation for the wedding is about to start and when I thought I know what I want, I suddenly blank out. I guess I'm not that "minah kawin kawin" anymore. Hahaha!
I don't know who my bridesmaid are anymore. (well a lot has changed over the years which I don't wanna talk about -.-"), but I do know who the maid of honour is of course!
I will definitely share with you guys the wedding preparation and the budget in the next post. (hopefully) so stay tuned!
By the way, this post was supposed to be posted right after he proposed which was in Feb-18 and only now I get the chance to continue and share with whoever who reads this. Haha! and guess what its Sep-18 already (can you see how long I digressed) haha! and we just got our wedding band yesterday. They even took a picture of us. But I'm just gonna share a picture that he secretly took of me while I was looking for the perfect match for my engagement ring. Teehee.
We are planning to have our wedding in 2020 (in shaa Allah semoga semuanya dipermudahkan ameen) can't wait to do the bridal room (when I thought I finally get a room to myself, I have to now share again..urgh) hahaha! I have so many ideas but still sticking to how I like things to look simple and white and at the same time old school. Pinterest helps alooooot! Pinterest is literally my best friend now.
OOOooo should I also start creating my wedding song?
I mean music is my thing and songwriting is what I love to do so why not right...
Oh, and oh I have lots to share with you regarding my music, collab literally its not going anywhere but who cares haha!
